He is also involved in local government, several trade groups, multiple non-profit groups, a regional bank advisory board and continuing education efforts. An avid outdoorsman, he has taken extreme pleasure in not only hunting and fishing but also in creating an environment where the animals and their habitat are the number one priority. Finding a minimally invasive way to spend time in nature and watching animals thrive has always been a priority for him.  Jay’s sons can be found hunting along side of him on a cold November morning, learning the same lessons their father learned years before.
